I am an LMHC. I have been in the field for 8 years. I began my practice a few years ago. What a difference it has made in my professional and personal life!
When I began my practice I was intructed by a colleague. She was helpful in answering my questions, and was more than happy to support me as I started out. When I was going through the process I realized the learning curve was steep. I did not want to bother her with all the seemingly unimportant questions this new adventure entailed, as she had a full-time practice of her own to manage.
I began thinking, what if there was a service just dedicated to helping clinicians with the very issues I was struggling with. I am not the only person who has been, or who is in this situation. I am also not the only person who has wanted to start off on their own but not did not want to bother a friend or colleague. Not to mention how overwhelming the whole thing might feel! With all of this in mind, I began gathering all the knowledge I accrued from everything that I have done when starting my own practice, along with some new things, and I am pleased to be able to share my knowledge with you.
